Due to the favorable geological conditions, the fertile soils and the dry and warm climate, a blooming herb garden is once again developing in Schwebheim this year. In addition to lady's mantle, echinacea and parsley, elecampane, ribwort plantain and peppermint enrich the fields in Schwebheim. It is not for nothing that Schwebheim is called the apothecary garden of Franconia.
To cultivate the approximately 120 hectare area, the herb growers have to use special machines for planting, sowing and harvesting in order to cultivate the up to 54 different herbs in Schwebheim. We at Klenk also operate contract cultivation on site. Almost half of the usable area is managed according to the strictest organic guidelines!
